Renewable energy sources are those that can be replenished naturally and do not contribute to greenhouse gas emissions or environmental degradation. They include solar, wind, hydro, biomass, geothermal, and tidal energy. By using renewable energy sources in your community, you can benefit from lower energy bills, improved air quality, enhanced energy security, and reduced carbon footprint. In this article, you will learn how to identify, access, and support renewable energy sources and technologies in your community.
Solar energy is the most abundant and accessible renewable energy source on the planet. It can be harnessed by installing photovoltaic (PV) panels on your roof, in your backyard, or on a community solar farm. PV panels convert sunlight into electricity that can power your home or feed into the grid. Solar energy can help you save money on your electricity bill, especially if you qualify for tax credits, rebates, or net metering programs. Solar energy can also improve your home's value, reduce your dependence on fossil fuels, and lower your greenhouse gas emissions.

While solar energy is the most abundant and largely reliable in most countries, current challenges include the below: 1. Huge land use compared to wind / conventional power plants 2. Instability in the grid due to huge power inflow in the day 3. Missing regulation to maximise solar - few states allow either rooftop solar or a power purchase agreement (with a company / solar farm ) not both probably because of point 2 above 4. Water use in keeping the panels clean for maximum irradiation 5. EoL challenges as on date- there’s not yet a viable solution to dispose / reuse EoL solar panels

Solar energy is one of the most abundantly available and easily utilisable form of energy in the tropical region. Some key initiative that can be taken around it are . - Incentivising the use of solar in daily processes through Govt. programs - Switching the daily use appliances to solar powered outlets (Mixers/ grinders, inductions, fans and television, refrigerators) - Employing new age inverters/ capacitors that can store solar energy for usage in the night. - Powering EV vehicles with solar energy outlets.
Wind energy is another widely available and clean renewable energy source. It can be captured by wind turbines that spin a generator to produce electricity. Wind energy can be generated on a small scale by installing a wind turbine on your property, or on a large scale by participating in a community wind project. Wind energy can help you reduce your electricity costs, diversify your energy portfolio, and support local economic development. Wind energy can also reduce air pollution, water consumption, and land use associated with conventional power plants.

Wind energy is a breath of fresh air for our planet. It's clean, abundant, and community-friendly. By harnessing the power of the wind, we not only reduce our energy bills but also cut down on pollution and support local economies. Embracing wind energy is a win for both our wallets and the environment. It's a breeze of positive change.
Hydro energy is the energy derived from moving water, such as rivers, streams, or oceans. It can be converted into electricity by using dams, turbines, or wave devices. Hydro energy can be a reliable and affordable renewable energy source, depending on the availability and suitability of water resources in your area. Hydro energy can help you lower your energy bills, stabilize your energy supply, and benefit from renewable energy certificates. Hydro energy can also protect wildlife habitats, enhance recreation opportunities, and mitigate flood risks.

Hydro energy is a powerful force for a sustainable future. It harnesses the flow of water to generate clean, reliable electricity while minimizing environmental impact. By embracing hydro energy, we can enjoy stable energy costs and contribute to a greener planet. It's a win-win for our wallets and the environment.
Biomass energy is the energy derived from organic matter, such as wood, crops, waste, or animal manure. It can be burned, fermented, or gasified to produce heat, electricity, or biofuels. Biomass energy can be a sustainable and versatile renewable energy source, depending on the type and source of biomass used. Biomass energy can help you utilize waste materials, create local jobs, and reduce waste disposal costs. Biomass energy can also reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve soil quality, and promote rural development.

Geothermal energy is the energy derived from the heat stored in the earth's crust. It can be extracted by drilling wells, pumping water, or using heat pumps to provide heating, cooling, or electricity. Geothermal energy can be a consistent and efficient renewable energy source, depending on the geology and temperature of the underground reservoirs. Geothermal energy can help you save money on your heating and cooling bills, increase your comfort and health, and extend the life of your equipment. Geothermal energy can also reduce air pollution, noise pollution, and land disturbance.

Geothermal energy is a hidden gem beneath our feet, offering a reliable and eco-friendly way to heat, cool, and power our homes. By tapping into this natural resource, we can enjoy savings, comfort, and cleaner air. It's a sustainable solution that deserves more attention in our quest for greener living.
Tidal energy is the energy derived from the rise and fall of the tides caused by the gravitational pull of the moon and the sun. It can be harnessed by using barrages, turbines, or buoys to generate electricity. Tidal energy can be a predictable and powerful renewable energy source, depending on the location and amplitude of the tides. Tidal energy can help you diversify your energy mix, reduce your reliance on imported fuels, and enhance your energy security. Tidal energy can also protect coastal ecosystems, support marine life, and create recreational opportunities.

Our global problem is Cooling a warming planet. 10% World power generation (70% in the KSA, 60% in the UAE) goes toward air conditioning. We need tangible innovations to revolutionize cooling and heating for a better world and energy efficient homes. We all know traditional renewable energy (wind and solar) and traditional HVAC systems based on vapor compression and direct expansion of refrigerants. New advanced product for for our homes are based on fundamental breakthrough in understanding and practical applications of thermodynamics: 15X Less Energy (using natural psychrometric energy from air), 10X Less Cost (innovative materials), 20X Less Carbon Footprint (no use of refrigerants and low carbon emissions due to huge energy savings).
