I'll be a bit of a Mavric but it's wrong to approach a problem from the team's analytical skills perspective. Once you have a problem definition well communicated. You may have multiple solutions for the same problem, proposed by different team members. Sometimes you get insightful ideas outside of the knowledge domain of the member suggesting it. I remember an implementation person suggesting an idea that was totally algorithmic in nature, which led to going in a similar direction if not the exact one. Open communication is a must and never ever reject an idea that is outside the contributor skill set.
