I believe 3 points are crucial in order to become a freelancer / consultant: - Be a continuous learner: Technology evolves at an impressive pace and in order to be a good option for a potential employer as a freelancer you need to be updated in your knowledge. - Be sure about what you do: what do you deliver? What is the value that you add to your customer? - Build your network: As a freelancer most of contracts you'll get through recommendation. You need people who know you ad your work that will be willing to recommend you to a portential hiring manager. - Plan your way out: either jumpin into the next contract or your ultimate exit from consulting, you will always need to plan your way out. You won't stay a freelancer forever.

It is exactly my case! I have been the opportunity to work as an independent consultant (Freelance) for over 20 years. Due to my previous experience, I decided to focus on IT Infrastructure (voice, data and video) as well as value-added services for the mobile operator sector, of course this was just at the beginning of this amazing journey.

I totally agree! At that time, I used a website to promote services (Business Development, Project Management) and value offering (Making things happen on time and at cost, among others). But definitely the best promotion, has been the recommendation ( mouth to mouth)of each of the companies, to which I have provided my services.
